From March 14–30, 2026, community members are coming together for Protect the Bond, an initiative to support families and pets impacted by domestic violence.
This year’s drive will benefit Abbie’s Safe Home, the largest emergency pet shelter in Tennessee dedicated specifically to serving the pets of domestic violence survivors. By providing safe, temporary housing for animals during times of crisis, the program removes one of the most common barriers that can prevent individuals from leaving unsafe situations.
Donations of human care items—like toiletries and body wash—as well as pet supplies such as collars, leashes, bowls, toys, and treats are being collected at participating businesses throughout the period. There will also be on-site collection opportunities, including a drop-off outside Village Pizza in Franklin, TN on March 21.
If your business is interested in becoming a drop-off location, please send us a message to get involved.
At the conclusion of this drive, volunteers are invited to join a packing event on March 30 at Boombazz in Spring Hill to organize contributions for delivery to Abbie’s Safe Home (space is limited).
Together, we can help protect the bond between people and their pets—ensuring both have the safety, care, and dignity they deserve. Click here to learn more.
